Paint Stripping

Authentic Stone have the ability to remove layers of old paint and lime wash from all types of masonry. We do not use contractors to do this. There are several different methods used to conduct this removal depending on the individual home or building. Chemicals are often needed but not always. We understand the need for a gentle approach and our main interest is to protect the stone or brick underneath. Often the process is done mainly by hand and steam, low pressure washing is generally required. Please contact us for more information on our techniques and the possibility of a free trial to show you what is under your paint.

Authentic Stone specialize in removing lime wash. This can be a very difficult process and one that many other companies don’t want to know about. Removing lime wash can be a time consuming process and is often done by hand. There is an art to not damaging the masonry underneath.

Authentic Stone are experts at steam cleaning anything. We have several units and can offer high and low pressure cleaning. We have developed many techniques over the last ten years to ensure we protect and preserve all types of masonry leaving it clean and new in appearance.

Authentic Stonecan also offer gentle 'low pressure blasting' using fine sands saturated in water, keeping this to a contained area of about a 50 cent piece. This ensures no dust or damage to surrounding areas.
